Liz Bolick, Audio Describer
Liz currently works as an Audio Transcriber for Omnium Circus and The New Victory Theater. She began her career at The Big Apple Circus, Circus of the Senses and the Dinner in the Dark events at Lincoln Center. Other AD credits includeThe Signature Theater, Perelman Performing Arts Center, Motion/Matter Street Dance Festival, The Danny Music Awards, Symphony Space, Playwrights Horizon and the Eyes Like Mine Inc.Dancing with the Blind Competition. Liz was also a featured panelist for Broadway Con “The Art of Audio Description” and taught blind children circus arts and juggling at The NY Institute for Special Education.
Liz earned her BFA from The University of the North Carolina School of the Arts and studied Audio Description at TDF in partnership with Audio Description Solutions, The Dark Room Ballet and freelances with Sound Associates.
As a Clown Dr., juggler and variety entertainer she provided humor therapy to critically ill children for over 30 years with The Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit, Healthy Humor Inc. and Paul Newman’s’ Hole in the Wall Gang Campwhere she received the prestigious Raul Wallenberg Humanitarian Award for this work. She has produced, directed, written, and performed hundreds of original shows and brought her extraordinary face painting expertise to events all over the world including Japan, China and NYC at International World Clown Festivals. Then in her spare time she produces and performs corporate and private special events with her own company’s MizLizEvents.com and TheFlipFlopCircus.org.
