Rik Daniels, Dancer

Rik Daniels was born and raised in Bronx, NY. He was the poster child for the March of Dimes, and later appeared on “Sunday Morning with Charles Kuralt” and “Ripley’s Believe it or Not!” because of his achievements in becoming a NYC High School Champion Gymnast. He went on to become a 7-time NCAA All American on pommel horse, parallel bars, and still rings.

Rik has served several terms on the board of directors of Access to Independence of Cortland County, as well as the Finger Lakes Independence Center and Challenge Workforce of Tompkin’s County.

Seeking greater impact beyond his speaking engagements, Rik began endeavoring to enlighten and inspire others by sharing himself and his abilities through modeling, dancing, and performance art. He has since been drawn and painted by several artists, was a founding member of Aspire Dance Company with Tina Christina-Price, performing across NY and appearing in the “Your Move Dance Festival”, Hoboken, NJ, in 2015. In addition to collaborative and independent performance art projects, he was a principle dancer in Michael Franti and Spearhead’s “Once a Day” music video. He’s also performed with Circus Culture in Ithaca, NY where he’s training in Aerial Arts and debuted his first performance routine as part of their annual showcase. For several years, Rik partnered with Nicole Agaronnik in “Advocating with Art!” by using their fusion of Contemporary and Ballroom/Latin Dance choreography and performances to educate and advocate the enhancement of positive perspectives of people of ALL abilities! They’ve provided performances, presentations and workshops at Memorial Sloan Kettering, NYC, the USA National Dance Sport Championships in Baltimore, MD, Lincoln Center, NYC, and Camp Possability, Indiana. Rik feels blessed to have the opportunity to join the Omnium family, and is looking forward to performing and developing with the team!
