Peter Bufano, Music Composer / Director

Peter Bufano is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who creates original music for motion pictures and circuses. He is a graduate of Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Clown College and The Berklee College of Music.

His early scores were largely acoustic instrumentals influenced by jazz and Eastern European folk traditions. This period is marked by six CDs released with his group ​Cirkestra​. Later works expanded to incorporate orchestral and electronic elements.

Bufano is an Assistant Professor of Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music and was the 2019 Newbury Comics Fellow for his work in circus music.
