Karel Karpe, Board Member

Karel S. Karpe is a highly experienced nonprofit professional with a diverse background in the legal, corporate and nonprofit sectors. Karel brings a skill set of donor engagement, development of fundraising plans, grant-writing, and foundation engagement to Omnium Circus.  She is a member of Women in Development, Association of Development Officers, Partners in Policymaking and on advisory boards at several nonprofits focused on serving people with disabilities including Daniel’s Music Foundation, The Center for Family Support and CareDesign NY. She is also the co-founder of Self Direction NYC and co-administrator of the SDNYC Facebook Page.

Karel holds a B.A. in Economics from the State University of New York and a J.D. (cum laude) from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
