Dion Harrison, Board Member
Dion Harrison is currently the Chief Diversity Officer and Vice President of Elevate Credit in Fort Worth, TX. Dion is an enthusiastic alumni from the HBCU – North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University where he majored in Architectural Engineering. While he has 20+ years’ experience in the financial services industry, he has a deep passion for Philanthropy that impacts diverse communities, fosters inclusiveness, and empowers economic development. He is an experienced board member of the non-profit organizations TangoCharities and Junior Achievement of the Chisolm Trail; and serves on the Board of Directors for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. Dion is also co-Founder of That’s Just Good, a small business that host team- building and community events, fostering partnerships between local business and charitable organizations to have a greater impact on the chosen cause and the economic development of their area.
As Chief Diversity Officer, Dion leads the Elevate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) program, currently supported by the Women in Technology, LGBTQ, Military and Mosaic Multicultural employee networks The Elevate DEI program leverages the diverse identities and experiences of Elevate employees to promote a greater understanding of how to apply DEI in the workplace, and support those principles with community action. This is achieved by not only influencing the innovation of new products/services for diverse needs, but also encouraging behavior and action centered around financial literacy & inclusion, diverse career empowerment, and the evolving awareness of how to impact the well-being of disadvantaged communities.
